Pros
- Lightweight, streamlined
Cons
- Not very stylish
Shardor hand mixer summary
This simple and compact hand mixer comes with a plastic storage box that clicks onto the mixer and holds all the attachments. It’s a useful addition, particularly given the inexpensive price tag. Not only is this mixer well-balanced and lightweight, but the streamlined shape also means it’s easy to wipe clean and the attachments can go in the dishwasher, too.
With dough hooks, beaters and a wire whisk attachment, there are plenty of ways to make use of this hand mixer. In our tests, it coped just as well with heavy bread dough as it did whisking airy egg whites. It doesn’t produce excessive noise or vibration, either. With six speeds to choose from as well as a turbo button, it offers plenty of control. If you’re looking for a decent budget hand mixer, you can’t go too far wrong with this one.

Our first impressions of the Shardor hand mixer
This isn’t the most stylish mixer, but for the price, we wouldn’t expect it to be. It has a simple white-and-black exterior and compact, streamlined shape. The handle is comfortable to hold and it feels lightweight, yet still nicely balanced. All the controls are easily accessible on the handle, and the speed switch clicks firmly into each of the six settings. At 100cm, the power cord is shorter than we’d like.
It comes with a handy storage case to hold the attachments as well as the power cord and plug. The mixer clicks onto the top of the case and acts as the lid. The whole thing can then be carried to your cupboard using the handle of the mixer. It’s a great solution to the age-old problem of losing the beaters at the back of the utensil drawer.
How is the Shardor hand mixer to use?
Whether mixing heavy bread dough or whisking egg whites, this mixer is comfortable to use, with no excessive vibrations or noise. The dough hooks mix up bread dough without struggling and the beaters effortlessly produce a light and airy buttercream.
We tested the single wire whisk by whipping cream and whisking egg whites. While the whisk is a single attachment unlike the duo beaters and dough hooks, it works well, speedily creating good results. The speed control clicks up through the speeds without requiring too much pressure. And, with six to choose from, it offers plenty of control. The attachments can all go in the dishwasher and the smooth surface of the mixer is easy to wipe clean.
Our verdict
A simple, budget-friendly mixer with a built-in storage solution to keep everything together. This is a comfortable and compact mixer that performs well across the board.
