If you're looking for a non-stick frying pan that can cater for a crowd and is built to last, try the TechnIQ The Modern Skillet from Danish cookware designers Scanpan. It'll certainly cost you, but the quality and cooking performance make it worthwhile.
Oven safe to 260C and dishwasher-friendly (hand washing is recommended) with a full decade of warranty, the pan ticks many of the usability boxes.
Scanpan has developed its own Stratanium+ non-stick technology that works beautifully and is both hard-wearing and easy to clean. It encases a thick aluminum core that produces even yet efficient cooking results.
The quality of the metal also provided great heat retention and speedy heat-up times, but this didn't allow for as much flexibility as other pans when trying to cook at lower temperatures.
Design-wise, Scanpan has gone to great lengths, working with chefs to engineer a shape that truly serves all purposes, with a large surface area for cooking and long sloping sides that aid evaporation, allowing for high-heat searing at its best.
The extra long, concave handle provided a pleasing distance from the direct heat and great leverage for tossing ingredients. Despite being the largest pan that we tested, it felt surprisingly light and was easy enough to manoeuvre, though it may dominate the hob if you’ve got a few pans on the go.
