When does the menopause start and how long does it last? Joining health editor Tracey Raye is Dr Tina Peers, founder of The Menopause Consultancy, a specialist menopause and women’s health clinic, to answer commonly asked questions and bust menopause myths. They explain how to recognise signs you're approaching menopause and the terminology around it, such as the difference between being perimenopausal and postmenopausal.
At the time of recording, testosterone isn't currently available on the NHS. However, women can pay for a Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) prescription certificate for around £20 per year, which may be more cost effective.
